So you have been thinking of changing careers and not sure how to write up that cover letter. Maybe your out of practice or have been lucky enough not to have had to write a cover letter before.
You may already know the following information; if this is so; then take the time to read over it as you think about your career change cover letter. Sample.
Your aim:
Is to introduce yourself and convince the employer you are worthy of an interview.
Why choose you:
Why should the employer choose you? What is it that you have, can do, understand, and are better at, than any other applicant? You need to state what you will bring to the company, why you are the best person for the job and how the company will be better off by having you there.
Your experience:
This will be a summary of your working career, particularly the areas that will be of interest to the position you are applying for. Give detailed experiences that will show you are capable of doing the job well.
Referees:
Do you have any referees that are willing to write a letter of recommendation for you? If so make a photo copy and include along with your resume and application letter.
Asking for an interview:
The end statement of your cover letter should include a question of asking for an interview; such as:
“I look forward to attending an interview and can be contacted on …
Or
I look forward to the opportunity to discuss my application with you at a convenient time”.

Your cover letters must stand out!
