Do you know about the hidden job market? Many positions are not advertised in the paper or on the internet.

There are several ways to find hidden job and canvas employers:

Direct employer contact:

When you arrive at a company or place of business and try to see the employer or person who does the hiring of staff without an appointment.
You would be dressed and prepared for the possibility of an interview if you are lucky enough to catch the right person at the correct time.

Write a letter of application:

You write a letter stating that you are seeking a position that may arise within the company in the near future.
You attach a copy of your current resume stating that you are available to come to the office for an interview anytime

Phone the employer:

You phone a business and ask to speak to the person who does the hiring of staff stating you are seeking employment.
You have done you homework and know about the company and what sort of positions may be available.
As you speak clearly you explain your reasons for calling with the aim of obtaining a personal interview.

Email the employer:

You find out the name of the person who does the employing of staff and address an email stating you are seeking employment.
This is like a cover letter stating that you have researched the company and would like to be part of it should any positions become available.
You advise you have attached a copy of your resume for the person to view and will be available for an interview anytime.
