  • Knowledge the company. Do your research, ask people who have worked there or who are still there; what they like or disliked about the company.
  • Resume. Have several copies of your resume on hand; this will show you are motivated and prepared.
  • Practise you’re interview skills. Rehearse the interview and practise your skills with family and friends, mock interviews are a good way of calming the nerves.
  • Arrive 10 minutes early. This will allow you time to regain your composure, settle any nerves and think clearly.
  • Mock interviews. Do a dry run with family or friends by attending mock interviews, practice makes for fewer mistakes on the day
  • Know the time and place of your interview. Be clear on where and what time your interview is, call to confirm you time, this will show you are preparing for the interview.
  • What are you going to wear: You will need to dress appropriately for the position, plan ahead so you have no last minute hiccups.
  • Who is the interview with? Know the name and title of the person/s interviewing you

Don’t forget your portfolio. Take any relevant documents you believe will enhance your chances of getting the job, now is the time to bring out all those certificates.

To be at the interview they like what they see on paper; it’s now up to you to put a face and personality to the  resume.
